"The Brady Bunch" premiered on ABC-TV September 26, 1969. The sitcom was created by Sherwood Schwartz, a Hollywood veteran also famous for "Gilligan's Island." It ran on ABC Friday nights until August 30, 1974. It was a fairly successful show, never a smash hit, but consistently in the Nielson Top 20.

However, the real story is the Bradys' longevity. "The Brady Bunch" has aired in syndication since 1973, including national exposure on TBS from October 1986 through April 1998, then on Nick at Nite since June 1998.
