In
1983 Coleco introduced the Cabbage Patch Kids
with vinyl heads and soft bodies, each one of
them being unique. Each doll was made with a
variety of different facial features, eye colors,
hairstyles and haircolors.
Instantly
they were a craze all across North America.
Adults rushed to the stores to line up to buy
them as soon as they arrived in stores. For
a while the supply did not nearly meet demand
and people would fight over who would be able
to buy the Cabbage Patch Kids and take them
home and adopt them.
