For
most of human history there were only two ways
to travel on land, either on your feet or by
horse. The horse has been a very important domesticated
animal for humans. Just as important as the
cow for milk and meat and the dog for companionship.
With the advent of the car, horses have become
a romantic object and escape the practicality
of life, today.
Today people ride horses as a leasure
activity, but in the past they were used for
everything from ploughing fields, pulling carts
and as general transportation. At one time they
were very reliable and people thought they would
never be replaced.
