There are still plenty of good reasons why we keep horses around. Police officers use them as a form of crowd control in the city when people get out of hand. Horses are good for pushing a crowd back, while at the same time protecting the police officer. They are also a lot of fun to ride. We keep them around to remind us that we were once dependent on them.

The dumbest reason we keep them around is for racing. I think this is a stupid life for this great animal. But then again, that's my opinion. The next time you meet a horse give him a carrot or a sugar cube, he will thank you for it.
