If
you want to purchase a kitten you have to know
exactly what you're looking for. Is it going
to be a family companion or a cat you intend
to breed in future. If you are looking for a
family pet, then you need to find a kitten that
is realatively compatible with you and your
family. Avoid pet shops. Animals in them look
cute but often lack shots and are often get
sick.

When
you pick your kitten, you should consider the
type of home it comes from and it's mother's
state of health. Do not buy a kitten from a
breeder that will not let you see the mother
cat. You don't want the mother to be sick. If
a cat is pedigree that does not mean the cat
is a good one. Pedigree cats are often inbred
and are prone to disease.
