Some
people say that mermaids don't exist and are
simply a figment of our imagination. I would
beg to differ. Mermaids were first seen by sailors
exploring the remote parts of the world hundreds
of years ago. These sailors would miss the company
of their wives and daughters and instead, the
mermaids would keep them company at sea.

Mermaids
are half fish and half human. They have magical
powers that let them take human form for a number
of days, but if they don't return into the ocean,
then they will permanently stay human, legs
and all. Many of them make short trips to land
but often return to the water as soon as possible.
