Toy Story was the first movie animated completely on a computer. It was a No. 1 box office smash when it first appeared in theatres in 1995 and it took four years to make. Toy Story is a wonderful story that takes place in Andy's Room. Andy is a six year-old boy who has the usual toy collection in his room. Only these toys are different - they come to life as soon as the humans leave the room!

The main characters in Andy's Room are Woody (the friendly cowboy) and Buzz Lightyear (the new space cadet). Woody is jealous of Buzz at first because he thinks that Buzz is going to replace him as Andy's favorite toy. Later on in the series, Buzz and Woody become great friends.

Both Toy Story 1 and 2 are extremely well done children's movies. They can appeal both to the young and old. Both movies have a large variety of characters that come alive in Andy's Room.

Both movies are now out on video and are a must-have for children and adult's alike. The first movie features Buzz's grand entrance to Andy's room when he is given to Andy as a birthday present. The second movie sees Woody getting taken away by a toy collector when he is accidentally put out at a garage sale. Two great movies.
